Obsession (2025) arrived with minimal fanfare but carries a structural idea that keeps surfacing in contemporary horror — the complete and deliberate removal of a woman's agency by an external supernatural force, sustained in a way that keeps the audience's sympathy intact throughout. It's a difficult balance to pull off and most films fail it.
